Mechanical Design & CAD Services

Aarianantha Solutions turns rough ideas, sketches and problem statements into complete mechanical designs: concepts, 3D CAD models, assemblies and production drawings that a workshop can actually build. We work with founders, small manufacturers, agricultural machinery makers and product teams across Kerala and India.

What’s included

What our mechanical design service covers

Concept design

We capture requirements, operating conditions, target cost and production quantity, then develop and compare mechanism and layout concepts before committing to detail.

Mechanism design

Linkages, cams, gears, chain and belt drives, rotary-to-linear motion, folding and sliding mechanisms, sized for the motion, load and life your product needs.

3D CAD modelling

Parametric part and assembly models, interference checks, motion studies and exploded views, organised for easy revisions later.

Production drawings

Fully dimensioned 2D drawings with tolerances, fits, GD&T where needed, material and finish callouts, and welding symbols for fabricated parts.

Bill of materials

Structured BOMs with standard parts such as bearings, fasteners and motors specified by catalogue number, so purchasing is straightforward.

Design review & redesign

Already have a design or an existing machine? We review it for strength, wear, manufacturability and cost, and redesign the weak points.

Design for manufacture

Designed for the shop floor, not just the screen.

A good-looking CAD model is not the goal. A part that fits, lasts and can be made at the right cost is. Every design is checked against these points before drawings are released.

  • Manufacturability (DFM)Processes and tolerances that local fabricators and machine shops can actually hold.
  • Assembly (DFA)Fewer parts, a clear assembly sequence, and no fasteners that can’t be reached.
  • Strength and lifeLoads, vibration, wear and fatigue checked at the critical points.
  • ServiceabilityParts that wear can be inspected and replaced in the field.
  • CostStandard sections, sheet sizes and bought-out parts wherever possible.

Process

How a design project runs

01

Understand

Requirements, constraints, target cost, operating conditions and quantity.

02

Concept

Two or three options compared, then one direction agreed with you.

03

Detail

Full 3D CAD, calculations and design reviews at agreed checkpoints.

04

Release & support

Drawings, BOM and files your vendors need, plus support through prototype and production.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can you start from just a sketch or an idea?

Yes. Many projects start with a hand sketch, a photo of an existing machine, or a verbal description. We capture the requirements and constraints first, then develop concepts before moving to detailed CAD.

What files do I receive at the end?

Typically native 3D CAD files, neutral formats such as STEP, 2D production drawings in PDF and DWG/DXF, a bill of materials, and exploded or assembly views. The exact deliverables are agreed at the start.

Do you work with clients outside Kerala?

Yes. Design work is done digitally and reviewed over calls and shared files, so we work with clients across India. Clients near Thrissur can also meet in person and arrange prototype trials locally.

Will the design be ready for manufacturing?

Yes. Designs are checked for manufacturability, assembly, standard parts and realistic tolerances, so the drawings can go directly to fabricators, machine shops or vendors.

Who owns the design files?

Ownership and confidentiality are agreed in writing before work begins. We are happy to sign an NDA for new product development.
